The DSE exam can be very challenging especially the speaking part, as practice maybe limited for both the group and individual sessions during the school day.
My aim is to focus on topics from past papers and also discuss recent events that could possibly be an area of discussion on the exam paper. Building vocabulary is a important, but being able to use key vocabulary relating to a particular topic is a must, as it reflects both knowledge and understanding.
Learning to plan your discussion shows efficient time management and also the ability to put down ideas in a logical order with an introduction, main discussion and a conclusion.
Having the opportunity to practice and work on areas of concern will help to build self confidence whilst being able to interact with both myself and fellow students will make the prospect of speaking out in front of others much less daunting.
