A fun, interactive course designed to help young learners develop phonics and reading skills in English. Starting at the very beginning, first learning the alphabet letter names and their sounds and then moving onto blending, segmenting, and eventually reading. Each lesson will be presented as an interactive slide show, with engaging activities and games. Each sound group will be taught with actions, songs, and stories. Students will have a chance to practice what they have learned throughout the lesson. I have integrated vocabulary development in each activity, where learners will learn how to use the sounds in context and eventually be able to read simple sentences. My goal is to make learning phonics fun, it is an important step when learning a new language and should be a memorable and lasting experience.
