- My name is Bobby, I'm 28 years old and living in Hong Kong right now but I am originally from Germany. I had a IT-Client Service Support job back there but grew tired of it and wanted to explore the home-country of my parents, so I quit my job. Transitioning into an English teacher i gathered a lot of experience in teaching students, aged from 3-12, in tutoring centers and private lessons and continue to do so. I especially shine in working with small groups as i can dedicate my time to each single student to solve an issue or improve upon an existing skill. My English speech was already fluent back in Germany as i had to hold conversations with my clients that are from all over the world. To further refine my English skills i also participated in a TESOL course at "English for Asia" to obtain my CertTESOL certification. It was challenging but proven to be very useful as it gave me a lot of insight into certain teaching techniques and classroom management skills that i could put to use by teaching adults in real lessons. I also taught German to a few students, albeit at a much lower frequency due to low demand. Due to my IT background I'm also able to teach computing courses, depending on the subject and complexity. Besides that, I'm just experiencing Hong Kong in all its facets, especially its food! Also a very friendly, flexible and cheerful person. Feel free to ask me anything related to German culture as well!
