About Me: I'm a female private English tutor from the U.S. I have a certificate in Teaching English As A Second Language (TESL) from the University of California, Irvine. I have some U.S. public primary school classroom teaching experience as a student teacher. I have been providing private English tutoring in Hong Kong and I taught English phonics (Letterland and Jolly Phonics), grammar, writing, interviewing and presentation skills for ages 3-12 at a local language center as a part-time teacher. I currently teach English at a Japanese language center as a part-time teacher on top of my private tutoring. I have students at all ages from kindergarten to adult level on various English language skills. All my students love my phonics techniques to improve their oral skills, especially my Japanese students! I also have plenty experience working in Corporate America before coming to Hong Kong. Therefore, I’m familiar with the business English language and work culture that my working students really enjoy learning and knowing! I cater my teaching style based on each student's need which has been working out very well as each student is unique! I have a bachelor degree in Linguistics and I've studied several languages so my academic background really helps me understand the strengths and weaknesses of learning another language. In addition to primary language of English, I’m also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

My Teaching Style: I address to the student's need in order to help the student improve to reach their goal. I always prepare materials in advance for the student for each lesson based on the lesson plan. I'll always make the student feel comfortable & relax in the lesson in order for them to absorb the materials better!
