About Me: As a speaker of foreign languages, I am fully aware of the challenges non-native speakers can face, having graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA Hons in Italian and Spanish with proficiency in Portuguese. Three years of teaching English in and around Spain (Salamanca, Valencia, Bilbao and Barcelona) and completing a TEFL certificate has led me to adopt an interactive and stimulating teaching approach, through which I help my students to stay engaged and strive to keep making progress. I also like to build a good rapport with my students, as I find this encourages them to build confidence both in their language learning and on a personal level; something I did during my time working for the international language academy Education First, where I received the ‘Teacher of the Year award’ for my efforts. I am currently studying a Research MA in Spanish literature through the University of Leeds, with the hope of becoming a University Lecturer.
