Key expertise areas for teaching and researching:
As a current PhD researcher on teaching along with Cambridge CELTA/TKT certification and MA (Award Winner), I follow the approach of Cambridge's Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and EMI/EAP to teach academic subjects broadly related to Marketing Communications / Business Studies / Branding / Advertising / Digital Media. For international and local students it is a dual-learning approach where they learn the content and also learn the academic language involved (as per the Cambridge CLIL methods). My ethnicity is Asia and I have taught students from all over the world. My students are college/university students and professionals from various countries. I also teach Academic English to higher education students. I assist students for IELTS/TOEIC exams and for research publications.
English is a second language for me and my accent is mostly Asian English. I have
successfully proved myself as a Cambridge qualified teacher. As an Asian-origin Australian citizen with UK residency I can blend the Western and Eastern study approaches uniquely.
